Bays Cycle Challenge

Sunday 4th November

The Start

  • Race Pack Pick Up - 7:30 to 8:30am
  • Race Brief - 8:50am
  • Race Start - 9:00am

You will assemble on William Street outside The Famous Grouse Hotel for Race Briefing at 8:50am.

The Race will start at 9:00am. Please seed yourself for the race Start, fastest at the front, slower riders at the back.

While the race is staged on public roads, these roads are all still open to traffic and normal road rules apply to both vehicles and cyclists. There is a Traffic Management Plan in place with various restrictions throughout the course. We again stress that the roads ARE OPEN and with these restrictions, some vehicles may not stop when directed too. Therefore cyclists have to be aware that normal road rules apply and be prepared to stop, even when a Stop/Go control is in place.

You must obey all instructions from marshals on the course. Marshals are on the course to direct you.

YOU MUST ABIDE BY THE ROAD RULES AT ALL TIMES – DO NOT CROSS THE CENTER LINE AT ANY STAGE OF THE EVENT.

Neutralized Start

The first 1km will be a naturalized start as you come out of Williams Street on to Gerald Street and ride out of Lincoln. This will make it a smooth ride through the residential area as you exit Lincoln.

The lead vehicle will pull away as you pass Liffey Spring Drive. Liffey Spring Drive is the road you will turn on to for the final 300m sprint at the finish.
